William White (more commonly known as Will) is the main protagonist of 'From Whence He Came'. Like his partner and long-time friend Frank Morris, he is a police inspector. Though the difference is that he is normally rather scruffy and unprofessional, massively unlike his colleague. However, after Frank's death at the hands of Volnus, he vows to change his ways and will stop at nothing to avenge his partner, and becomes the brave hero he'd always seen in the movies. He and Volnus are locked in a nightmarish feud throughout the film: Will being an ambassador for justice, Volnus being an ambassador for villainy. Despite Volnus' onslaughts and torments, he maintains his determination and fortitude, certain that one way or another, his partner will be avenged, and Volnus will be stopped.
